New validation site for OneRoster 1.1 CSVs
The CSV Validator allows you to check your OneRoster 1.1 CSV files for errors. After it runs, an email will be sent to you with the results, and a CSV containing all the errors (if any) can then be downloaded.
ClassLink Roster Server Debugging Tools
Two debugging tools have been created to aid in making sure data imported into a server is accurate. The Sanity Check allows you to see in detail what data an application has access to. It will show you, among other things, how many total organizations, courses, classes, and users have access to the application, along with things like how many students and teachers are not enrolled in any classes.
The Find tool lets you search for a specific user or class to see if they have access to an application. If searching for a user, it will show information about that user, what classes they are enrolled in, along with their demographic information. If searching for a class, the tool will give information about the class and the users enrolled in it.
New Permissions for ClassLink Rosters
There are three new permission sets: None, Basic and Full. Basic is the most common permission set, allowing you to choose which schools and courses have access to an application's data, and also includes toggles for including Unenrolled Users, Demographics, and Resources. Full access allows the application access to all the data imported to the ClassLink Rosters server. Choosing None will not allow the app access to any data.
