What is the Digital Resources Portal?
The Digital Resources Portal is a public page that allows districts to showcase the web apps made available to their users.
Setup of the Digital Resources Portal can be done in the CMC through the new Portal section under Digital Resources Portal.
The top section allows you to turn the Portal on/off, set the code that will be used to access the portal, upload a custom logo, and change both the title and description of the portal. After making the desired changes, be sure to click Save.
Apps can be either added to the Application View or the Collection View, which is essentially a folder. To add an app to the application view, simply click the Add button, and find the app.
To add an app to a collection, first create the collection (if not done already) by clicking Add in the Collection View section, then setting a Name and Description.
Once you see the collection you want to add apps to, click Assign in th Action menu.
For apps in the Application View, editing is done by clicking the green pencil under the Actions menu.
Here you can set various properties of the app, like Price, Type, Subject, Platforms available on, and App Description.
Be sure to click save after making changes. For apps in the collection view, you can get to the edit menu by clicking Assign in the action menu for the collection the app is in, then the green pencil icon. Apps can be deleted by clicking the trash icon next to the pencil.
Notifications can also be added to apps. To manage notifications of an app in the Application View, simply click Edit under Notifications.
To manage notifications of an app in Collection View, click Assign for the collection, then Edit under notifications.
Notifications can be viewed by clicking the red circle at the top right of each application (provided it has at least one notification).
Notifications are ordered by newest first.
You can also view notifications in the Application Details view by clicking Announcements.
