Whenever changes are made between Roster Server imports, the system checks to see if the number of changes exceeds the threshold values set in the settings page.
Thresholds can stop a bad import of entirely corrupt data. They can also prevent any changes from being made, if thresholds are set to zero. You are able to alter individual threshold values based on your district's data size.
To see the import that hit thresholds, log into Roster Server with an admin account and click the "Import Rosters" tab.
From there, click the latest import and the underlined words "Thresholds Exceeded"
Thresholds will be hit if the combined total of rows deleted, rows added, and rows modified equals the threshold set for that CSV file. For example, if classes.csv has a threshold of 200 and in the latest import 200 classes were removed and one was added, then the import would hit thresholds and not go through.
To see what the changes were, scroll down to the "Error Details" section and click the blue "Show Actions" button.
A list of changes between the past two imports will display on the page. This list can be ordered by action, line, sourcedId, and notes.
If the changes look acceptable, then scroll to the top of the page and click "Override Thresholds" to allow the import to pass.
