Launch the ClassLink IDP Console
After you log in to the IDP Console, click on COPY EXISTING from the top of the navigation menu. This will present a list of pre-configured SAML connections.
Copy the Savvas template from the library
You will now see the Savvas SAML connector in your list of applications. Copy the IDP Metadata URL and provide that to your Savvas integration engineer. This is a unique URL for your district. Savvas will use this URL to establish a trust with ClassLink and provide you with their SSO URL.
Next, edit the Savvas SAML app, locate the Login URL field then input your LaunchPad custom login URL.
Not sure what your custom login URL is? The login page URL is located in the ClassLink Management Console under Settings>Login Page. See below.
Once you've completed updating the SAML settings, scroll down to save. Navigate back to the ClassLink Management Console and add the Savvas SAML app with the SSO URL your Savvas engineer provided you with. After your app has been tested, you can assign it to your users.
IMPORTANT! If you are going to use the "Pearson (CSV)" Roster Server application, you must set up SFTP in the app using connection information provided by Pearson and use the export template OneRoster v1p1 - Username to Fed Id .
Pearson may prefer to use REST API to fetch your Roster Server data. If this is the case, provide them with your REST API URL and their applications API Key and Secret. From the Roster Server Console Dashboard, locate the url on the top right. It should look something like this https://districtname-xx-v2.oneroster.com . Add /ims/oneroster/v1p1 at the end of the end to access the API page.
Next, go back to the Roster Server Console, applications list, if you've already added the Pearson app, locate their Roster Server application, click the 3 dots on the far right, then click API Key and Secret to reveal the unique key and secret for Pearson.
