Product: LaunchPad
Audience: ClassLink Administrator
Launch the ClassLink IDP Console
After you login to the IDP Console, click on COPY EXISTING from the top of the navigation menu. This will present a list of pre-configured SAML connections.
There are two Smarty Ants applications - Smarty Ants Play (used by students and teachers) and Smarty Ants Dashboard (teachers only). COPY one template from the library. Repeat the process to copy the other Smarty Ants application.
You will now see the the Smarty Ants connector in your list of applications. Copy the IDP Metadata URL and provide it to Achieve 3000 support. Make sure to specify the application name for each metadata URL. This is a unique URL for your district.
Achieve 3000 will use these URLs to establish a trust with ClassLink. Once Achieve3000 says the trust is established, you can build the SAML applications in LaunchPad.
Next, edit the Smarty Ants SAML app(s), locate the Login URL field then input your LaunchPad custom login URL.
Not sure what your custom login URL is? The login page URL is located in the ClassLink Management Console under Settings>Login Page. See below.
Once you've completed updating the SAML settings, scroll down to save.
This will bring you back to the SAML dashboard. Click on the drop down next to the IDP Metadata URL and select Copy IDP Initiate Login URL. This is the URL you will deploy to your users from Assign Apps.

From the ClassLink Management Console, go to Add & Assign Apps, click new. Input the application name "Smarty Ants Play" and complete the fields as shown below. Remember to turn on Single Sign-On, select SAML as the type, then paste the url.
The URL will look similar to the following.

Next, locate Smarty Ants Play, make a copy of it, edit the copy to update the application name to "Smarty Ants Dashboard" and update the URL. Click Save. Remember to assign the apps to your desired groups.
The Dashboard app is for teachers while the Play app is for students and teachers.
That's it!
