A workflow typically consists of a single entry criterion (blue box), at least one criteria (diamond), and at least one action (red box). Criteria and actions are connected via logic branches, which are represented as arrows. These branches only have two values, TRUE (green) or FALSE (red). The direction of a workflow depends on if the criterion is met. The workflow starts at the entry criterion and continues until it reaches an exit point (red rectangle), either at the end of an action or the end of a False branch.
To begin creating a workflow, navigate to the Workflows page and then click the blue "Add New Workflow" button. This will bring you to the workflow builder. First, define the entry criterion by clicking the blue box labeled "+ Event". An entry criterion is a special type of criteria that defines the workflow type. There are two types of workflows: Destination Export workflows and Form Submission workflows. Each type has a different set of criteria and actions to choose from.
After you've chosen your workflow type, you can add criteria or actions by clicking the blue plus icon. Selecting criteria will automatically generate an action, connected by a TRUE branch. In other words, that action will only be processed if the criteria are true. If the criteria are false, the workflow will proceed down the FALSE branch to the exit point. When you are finished constructing your workflow, click the green "Save" button in the top right-hand corner. Additionally, you can enable or disable a workflow from being processed via the toggle next to the "Save" button or the toggle next to the desired workflow on the workflows page.
