We've redesigned Sources and Imports to accommodate Secondary Sources. This new feature will allow you to combine multiples source into one. Secondary sources can be applied to any source type. To do so, we've add a new tab labeled Secondary Sources has been added to Source details.
While editing a source, navigate to the tab and click Add Secondary Source. This will open a slideover where you will enter the source details and types, as well as select the identify fields. The identify fields are used to match identical users between the sources being merged.
The applications of secondary sources include importing data for additional fields, custom arrays, or custom objects. Before you can use secondary sources in conjunction with OneSync arrays or objects, you must first create and configure them in Custom Fields. To do so, navigate to the Mappings tab while editing a source and click the blue option, + Add Custom Fields. For custom objects, you must configure the object and specify its keys.
Once a secondary source or sources have been merged into a primary source, they will function as a single source normally would. Thresholds, filters, data transforms, and sync schedules will run without any difference.
New Function: Trim_After
We've added a new text-transformation function: TRIM_AFTER(String, Char, ...). The first parameter ("String") is the string to be processed. The succeeding parameters ("Char") are characters OR strings that you want to remove. You can also input multiple characters and/or strings. And so, starting at the beginning of the string, we look for the first occurrence of ANY of the characters or strings listed in the function, and trim off everything after that, including that character or string. i.e. TRIM_AFTER(email@example.com, @, a) results in "bob"; TRIM_AFTER(firstname.lastname@example.org, classlink, L) results in "bob@"
