Using a Quick Card to log into ClassLink without a webcam can be accomplished utilizing the Remote Login feature. This simple method allows an individual Quick Card user to sign into ClassLink on a computer with the usage of the ClassLink Remote Login mobile app. Remote login also allows for multiple activation codes which is helpful for teachers helping young Quick Card users to log in. They can use the Remote Login app to log in each student one by one on individual computers in a classroom. Therefore, 2 devices will be needed for this process - a mobile device (mobile phone or iPad) and a computer or laptop.
1. In the ClassLink Management Console, go to Single Sign-On -> Sign-in Options -> Remote Login and toggle it to On.
2. Click the blue Settings Gear and click Add to Enable to each group utilizing Quick Cards. Click Save. Now, the permissions have been set.
3. Next, the authentication access must be enabled on the school organization's login page. In the Management Console, go to Settings -> Login Page -> Edit -> Social Links to turn on Remote Login and click Save.
4. The Remote Login feature is now available for usage by Quick Card users when a webcam is not available.
