The Public Portal is a public page that allows school organizations to showcase the web applications made available to their users.
Overview
Navigation
To access the Public Portal, simply enter the URL in your browser - no LaunchPad account is needed. The Portal will look similar to this:
Apps that are marked by an admin as Featured (if any) will be at the top, and can be scrolled through by clicking the blue arrow icons on the left or right. Apps can be filtered by various properties using the dropdown menus on the left. You can also search for a specific app by typing into the search bar next to the Hide Filters button. Below the search bar will be folders of apps (if setup by an admin) and a listing of the apps themselves.
App View
To see more detailed view on an app, simply click on it:
The top section will give a brief description of the app, as well as links to the app's website, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Data Sharing Agreement
Note: Links will only appear if an administrator has added them to the app during Public Portal setup.
Below the description will be the instructions for app usage, as well any announcements about the app. The last section will give more details of the app, including the type, supported platforms, grades that use the app, subject, assigned schools, status, and what folders it is in.
Filtering
The app list can be filtered by Type, Platform, School, Grade, Subject, or Status. To set a filter, simply click the dropdown menu of the property you want to filter by and select the value you want to filter for.
Multiple filters can be active at one time, and if you wish to remove all filters, click the Clear Filters button at the bottom of the menu.
